About Ela
If I were a book, I would be on top of the „cheeky women“- pile. Because that’s totally me: 100% woman, 100% cheeky. And being at a 200%-level I wouldn’t be just a small booklet, but (as in real life) a large bestseller. And one thing is for sure: The reader would shake with laughter from the first to the last page.
The early chapters of my life take place in the eastern party of Germany. That might be the reason for the pragmatism I sometimes show and which is crucial for my first employment of working with severely multiple-disabled people.
Emotions are one essential feature of this bestseller. I become a mother. And not only once. And what this sort of hormonal overflow can do to the emotions of a woman is certainly well known. At least to everyone who has gone through this. Constant companion throughout this chaos of nappies, baby food and sleepless nights is my camera. And the light at the end of the tunnel shows brings a clear picture: I’m turning my hobby into a career. I’m becoming a photographer.
In 2004 I set up my own studio. Taking part in many workshops I get all the skills needed to take technically perfect pictures. And all the other ingredients I already have: To see the world though the viewfinder, to recognize a good motive and to translate it into a good picture, safe handling of people, make shy models laugh and make them look good in the picture they will hold in their hands in the end.
